encaustic class

sometimes when you just don't know where to start
it is best to go back to the basics
today's class was an experiment in layering photos and multiple photo transfers

the simplicity of the black and white made it easy concentrate on the photos

which eventually lead me to creating some texture
and keeping with the b/w theme
i created some fun combinations

Oh, I love those layered photos. Gorgeous. Perfect in black and white. I'll have to try that! The textures look fun, too.

Do you cut the photo up and have it laid into different levels to create the trees in the foreground and background? I would like to try this with a photo I took of my daughter! She is laying on black with lights all around her. I would love to have the light sink to the back and her towards the foreground? Anyway, I think this is awesome. Nice work! :)
