rare sighting

while visiting my sister in kingsville, ontario

the small town of 20,000 was buzing with bird watchers

from as far away as new hampshire

a great grey owl showed up just before the holidays

20 inches tall with a wings span of 5 feet it's the largest

rarely seen below lake superior it's a long way from home
i wish i had my big camera with me

and since my head is still in cold mode

i've posted something simple

the tide coming into kingsville, ontario

water has always been very soothing to me

i've always lived near water and love the sound,

the smell and everything else it brings

feeling under the weather since i returned home from my long weekend visit with my sister

i've been playing around with some of my photos taken during my stay on lake erie

i don't know why i like this one, maybe its all the cold meds ,

or the ttv i found while looking through flickr

either way, i like it, something very calming about the whole thing

so i decided to use some of the photos in my new header

i'm back

thanks to my sister de and her man greg

i had a wonderful long weekend

its nice to just hang out and enjoy each others company

summer seems to be "flying" by too quickly!
