encaustic class

usually i work with micro crystalline wax
but for the above work i switched to bees wax
which has a natural yellow hue
i think it works well with the color palette
not sure if i noticed any other differences
but i'm sure i will try using it again
-------
above, one of my photos
transferred onto the wax
several layers of ochre, green and blue
and a few sesame seeds to add a little texture
i'm not finished with it yet
not sure what to add down the left side
maybe some gold leaf?

Very nice work. I have only done a very small piece in beeswax so I can appreciate the effort involved in this creation! Bravo. The gold leaf would be smashing. Great idea.

Love the colors! How did you achieve the bumps on the left?
