picture perfect

i can take photos all day long and find a few that i'm happy with
last sunday the conditions where wonderful
a stormy sky, fall colors. and soft lighting
as i drove back home along hwy 7 i came around a soft bend in the road
and there it was the "perfect setting|"
for a second i thought "damn i should stop......no time, i've been out all day
next time......no , when will there be a next time, and will it be this good??
i quickly did a U turn and got this shot
and glad i took the extra time to enjoy the scenery

  2. A beautiful and dramatic shot. I have passed up too many shots because I thought I would go back later and never didl

  4. i'm so glad you turned around....same thing happens with me, and i have regretted not capturing that "click" moment. barns are one of my favorite subjects. this shot is absolutely beautiful.
you are so right that we never have that moment again.

  5. I love this photo!!!
Some mornings we would start out on a trip very early, through the back highways of Oxford county. Slowly, before sunup the lights in the barns would appear, little beacons in the darkness, comforting, to think we were leaving behind life going on, animals being fed.. people so dutiful to rise as early as us for a day of hard work.
    Ontario's farmland, a priceless treasure.
